Our Mission:
To practice generational generosity by creating a self-sustaining desert/jungle/poem/garden – half circus, half tinker-tank, half mystery.
To co-create communities of sentient beings - feral, domesticated and human - that will nourish themselves and others in ways visible and invisible for a long, long time.
Our immediate project is creating a sustainable web of life at Tatooine Ranch based on permaculture and traditional indigenous technologies such as terra preta, or bio-char . We are weaving together many living things into a continuous loop in order to respect, increase and diversify the productivity of soil, water and creatures. 
Tatooine Ranch is now a collection of beings living on 70 high-desert acres and in one large house, one warm barn, two large ponds, and numberless out-buildings constantly under construction. The creatures include people, goats, foxes, chickens, hawks, falcons, geese, ducks and other birds, all manner of creepy crawlies, as well as gardens, orchards, and myriads of other fungi and unseen critters, all of which continuously work together to feed one another.
