Montrose, formerly Ute Junction, is located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains, in the valley of the Uncompahgre River, on land taken from the Northern Ute Nation. We are surrounded by beauty: the San Juan Mountains to the south, Uncompahgre Plateau to the west, Grand Mesa to the north and the Continental Divide to the east. We are close to many high country wilderness areas, but also close to town.
We will have to give you driving directions until Yahoo and Map Quest fix their maps!
We are two miles from the main highway, the route is marked with red ties.
